I’m Hana — a lifelong food lover, celiac since 2009, and the human behind Gluten Makes Me Sick.
I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in March 2009, and everything changed — how I eat, how I travel, and how I connect with the world around me. Since then, I’ve lived in five countries, navigated different cultures and cuisines, and learned how to safely enjoy life (and food) again — without gluten.
Whether I’m in a busy street market, a hidden bakery, or a gas station snack aisle, I’m always on the lookout for celiac-safe food — and now, I share those discoveries here.
This blog is a mix of:
- 🌍 Travel experiences with a gluten-free twist
- 🍞 Product reviews from stores around the world
- 🥗 Tips for living fully with celiac (even when it’s hard)
- 💬 Real-life stories and support for fellow gluten-free friends
My goal is simple: make celiac life feel less restrictive, and more empowering.
